“To Rutland Go”
The main focus of this issue is a sixteen stanza poem “To Rutland Go” by Thomas Rowley. The topic concerns that of New Hampshire land grants; disputations over their ownership with New York; and ultimately the creation of Vermont.
The poem is illustrated with numerous watercolors by Zulma Delacy Dorr Steele, and provided with a biographical background of her life.
